Yes. One of you downloads it, sets up, and gets a code. The other enters that code and you are connected. Most of Carinly does nothing at all until there are two of you in it, which is deliberate.

Fourteen days free, then $14.99 CAD a month, shown in your own currency in the app. One subscription covers both of you — whoever pays, you are both in. The trial starts the day you connect, not the day you sign up.

That is how it is meant to work. There is no second bill and no half-account: one subscription, two people.

That is the reason Carinly exists. Messages are translated as they arrive, and your original is always kept underneath the translation so nobody is ever reading a machine's guess without being able to see what was really written. Carinly is in nineteen languages.

Yes. Every screen that mentions time shows theirs and yours side by side, in each person's own format. Distances appear in kilometres or miles and temperatures in Celsius or Fahrenheit, according to where each of you is.

Yes. Flights, where you are staying, time off and who is paying for what, in one shared plan, with costs converted into both of your currencies.

No, and neither can we. Carinly never reads your phone's location. You type the name of your city once, during setup, and that is the whole of what the app knows about where you are. It is what draws their local time and weather.

No. There are no read receipts, no last seen, no online status and no typing indicator anywhere in Carinly. These are not settings you switch off — they were never built, on purpose.

Only the two of you. There is no feature anywhere in the app that shows one couple's content to anyone else. The full detail is in our privacy policy.

The words of a message are, when the two of you read in different languages. Nothing that identifies who wrote them goes with it, and photos, videos and voice notes are never sent anywhere. Section 5 of the privacy policy explains it in full.

Love notes that stay sealed until a day you choose. Photo booth, where you both pose on the same beat. Drawing together. Almost never. Every game is built to survive a twelve hour gap: you take a turn, they take theirs when they wake up. The photo booth is the one exception, and it says so.

A private page for writing the hard thing before deciding whether to send it. Nothing written there is saved, by anyone, including us.

Small rewards for the things that keep two people close — saying good morning, sealing a note, planning a visit. They go towards Love Vouchers you choose together. You cannot buy them.

Yes, from inside the app, in Profile. It removes your account, your profile and the shared parts of your relationship. Anything that belongs to your partner alone stays with them — your leaving should not delete their memories.

Either of you can unpair, from Profile. It ends the connection and clears what was shared, and both accounts go back to how they started. Neither of you needs the other's permission.

Yes. There is an export in Profile that produces your profile, the shared record and everything you made.
